# Delivery Planning

The Delivery Planning application template, part of the Supply Chain & Ops Suite, provides a predictive model development and deployment workflow to predict the risk of delayed outbound customer deliveries. It utilizes data sourced from S/4HANA via SAP Datasphere and writes back predictions to Datasphere to allow exposure through Analytics Cloud.

This application template helps planners identify delays that can impact customer satisfaction and can lead to returns or lost future revenue. Persistent delay patterns for shipping points, materials, transportation routes, and other attributes can be identified so systematic changes can be made. Items at risk of delay can be flagged so that you can take action to expedite the delivery, find alternatives, or adjust downstream expectations and dependencies to minimize the impact.
