## Documentation content

The Activity log tab includes a Comments panel, where deployment owners and approvers can post comments to discuss deployment activity, configuration, and governance events. If a deployment is subject to an approval policy, the comments from the approval process are included in the Comments panel.

**Visible comments area:**
To leave a comment, in the Comments panel, click the text area, enter your message, and click Comment. The comment area supports plaintext (up to 2000 characters) and `@` mentions of conversation participants.

**Hidden comments area:**
If the Comments panel is hidden, click the left arrow next to the comment icon to reveal the comment area.
