Register tools¶

Agentic tools are registered in the Registry so that they can be easily listed and called by agents, granting them access to the DataRobot API.

To register a tool, navigate to the Registry and click + Register tool in the Tools tab:

A tool is a registered model that is exposed as an agentic tool. Therefore, refer to the Register a model page to configure the tool. When making your configuration, add a tool tag to the Model tags field. This can be done by clicking Tool in the Suggested tags field:

When all configuration is complete, click Register model. The model version opens on the Registry > Models page with a Building status. You can deploy the model at any time.
